Hooked on a Feline Mobile Grooming Salon is owned and operated by Julie Beeman – One of Only 2 Certified Feline Master Groomers (CFMG) in Southern Oregon.

Julie began grooming after completing a certification program as a Certified Professional Animal Groomer in 2005. After grooming in Spokane for 11 years it became evident that there was a real need for groomers who would groom cats. Julie became aware of the National Cat Grooming Institute (NCGI) and explored the CFMG certification process. Julie spent the next 18 months working toward obtaining the master’s certificate.


A groomer is tested on their knowledge in “Health & Anatomy”, “Temperament & Handling”, “Breeds & Colors”, and “Business Development” before they are allowed to take the hands-on practical exams.


The practical exams, completed in the presence of National Cat Grooming Institute (NCGI) Certifier, included properly completing two (2) different Lion Trims, Comb Cuts, and bathing both long and short haired cats. The practical exams also asses the groomer’s ability to handle cats of different temperaments.


Upon completing her certification, Julie Beeman became one of only 4 in Washington State and 300 world-wide who had earned this certification.


Julie just relocated to Gold Beach where she has brought with her, her expertise and her mobile grooming van.
She will be servicing the Gold Beach and Brookings area, grooming little dogs under 25lbs and of course cats.
